   I once almost burnt the walls in my kitchen.  Why? Because I forgot to reduce the flame and it caught up. meld would've saved me from that if I had it.  The Meld Knob + Clip is an automated range knob which attaches to your cooktop and wirelessly communicates with a precision temperature sensor that attaches to your cookware.  The Meld Knob works for slow cooking, simmering, sous vide, poaching, frying, and even candy making, the Kickstarter description said, and aims to tackle confusingly vague cooking instructions. The Meld Knob replaces one of your existing stove knobs, and lets you set a precise temperature (200 degrees vs. "medium" heat). The team said it should "work on virtually every gas and electric cooktop, [whether you] have the knob mounted on the front, on the back, or that mount to the top."
